Hi! I'm Jessica Kiss. I don't know about you, but when I move into a new place, I have to decorate it right away. I don't feel settled until the window treatments are up, the walls are adorned, the shelves are decorated, the pillows are in place, and the rugs are on the floor. I'll admit it, all the boxes don’t even get unpacked before most of my home is decorated!
Decorating is an expense. If you have the means to splurge on your home, there is a world of items available to you. If you have a budget you must stick to, there are deals to be found (trust me, there are) for any style: Contemporary, Traditional, Old World, French Country, Art Deco, Cottage Charm, Mediterranean, Shabby Chic, and the list goes on. Fortunately for me (and for my husband) I’m spending less money these days fixing up our home and more time scouting out ideas for the weekly "Designing with Jessica" segment. While the segment is an outlet for my creativity as a journalist, the stories feature the advice of design and construction experts in Coastal Georgia and the Low Country. Take a peek into projects that range from the ultra-luxurious to the fabulously frugal!
