"A Call to Arms" is a seven-part series featuring more than 300 local Georgia Army National Guard soldiers deploying to Afghanistan for one year to help train Afghan soldiers. The troops featured in the program are based in armories in Savannah, Springfield, and Statesboro, but the soldiers and their families actually live throughout the Savannah area. Also look for stories on how the deployment affects the soldiers families, co-workers, and communities.
