Our intention with the Good News Council is to acknowledge and recognize positive efforts and contributions in and around our respective communities.

This initiative is more than a “piece” for our Newsroom; it is a WJCL/FOX 28/TheCoastalSource.com station project with Lynn Fairbanks, the President and General Manager, as your Good News host.

The goal is to further connect to and with the people who are working to make a difference in our community.

We have gathered a core group of community leaders who will help us recognize and validate the “good news” we do not hear or see often enough. We meet, as a collective, one time each quarter where we share ideas and identify the stories we will cover in the coming months.
