Wednesday afternoon, Beaufort County officials conducted a manhunt in the area of Shanklin and Stanley Farm roads in reference to suspicious activity, possibly related to recent home burglaries.
Just before noon, two black males were observed walking down the railroad tracks carrying large flat screen televisions in the area of Laurel Bay and Westgate Circle.
The suspects were spotted by a deputy patrolling the area and fled upon being ordered to stop. The televisions, which were recovered near the last location the suspects were seen, have since been reported stolen from a Westgate Circle home.
The two suspects were described only as tall, slender black males. No further description is available at this time.
The manhunt ended around 3:00 p.m. without either suspect being found. The investigation will remain active.
