(Savannah, GA) After ordering fries at the small chicken and fries restaurant Li’l Chick, Gail (who refused to provide her last name) called 911 because her fries were cold and the owner of the restaurant wouldn’t refund her money or provide a new order of fries.

Now, TCS has the 911 call from the bizarre incident. After a Savannah 911 operator answers the call, Gail says, “I ordered something. My order is not right, and I don't like the way the food tastes, and they telling me they can't give me a refund, and they can't replace it either. I don't think that's right."

The 911 operator doesn’t ask many questions, only where the woman is located and then says, “Alright, don’t leave. Police are on their way.”

We talked with the owner of Li’l Chick and Metro Police yesterday. After seeing the story on TCS, the woman called our news room and agreed to talk with me. I asked her why she would call 911, when 911 is for emergencies. She replied, "To me, that was an emergency because on the other hand, had I walked off with the food and not paid for it, they would have said that I was stealing."

Only Gail had already paid for her food, so she couldn’t have been accused of stealing. Every story has two sides, so today we went back to Li’l Chick to talk to the owner again. “She saw us bring up some more french fries, so she went back to the window and told the girl at the counter she wanted hot fries. Hers were cold," says owner Jospeh W. Weeds.

Weeds mainly caters to truckers, and he cooks big batches of food at a time – never special orders. He admits he’s had complaints of cold food in the past, but never to this extreme.

I asked Gail if she ever felt her life was in danger, because again, 911 an emergency number. She replied, “No. I wanted someone to come in and mediate for me because I didn't want it to escalate."

Believe it or not, this isn’t the first time a call like this has happened. Back in March, a Florida woman called 911 because McDonald’s ran out of chicken nuggets. Another woman called 911 when Burger King got her order wrong. Here’s how that 911 Operator responded: “Ma’am, we’re not going to go down there and enforce your Western Bacon Cheeseburger.”

“What am I supposed to do?” asked the caller.

“This is between you and the manager. That’s not a criminal issue…there’s nothing criminal there,” said the operator. Police were not dispatched to that scene.

However, Savannah-Chatham Metro Police were dispatched Wednesday afternoon to the scene at Li’l Chick. Ultimately, an officer gave the woman $6.00 of his own money to calm the situation.

“The officer out of the kindness of his heart gave me $6.00 so I could get my children something from somewhere else," says Gail.

This fat azz is an embarrassment to humanity. I can't believe you thought calling 911 was an appropriate course of action for cold fries. I can only hope your story get to Leno or Letterman.

This is a message to the public. Early this morning a young man went to jail for playing on 911 about being kidnapped. This should now set the tone to for futher foolishness. We work very hard to answer all the calls that come into the center and listen out for our officers that are on the street. On an everyday basis we get STUPID CALLS in reference to being evicted when they know they haven't paid rent. Also, we cannot entertain callers who feel like we have the answer to everything. For example we all know that Victory Drive flood everytime it rains. I am not sending an officer when he/she is in a car just like you. Then you get an attitude with us when all we are telling you is the truth, I am NOT sending an officer when you know the same streets flood ALL the time. Take these dead cell phones from your children to keep them occupied they will end up calling 911. Another thing, if you call 911 by mistake don't argue with me and tell me you didn't when I can tell you what your address and phone number are. Also when you call 911 tell us where you are instead of arguing with the other person and we don't know where you are. Realize, working with the public is a hard job. To the citizens of Savannah please stop telling me that since you pay taxes you pay my salary. I pay taxes also so therefore I am paying my salary too. Please understand we handle thousands of calls per day and we do the best we can. Be mindful that we are here to help, but you must give us the information we need to help the officers help you. I agree with some of you, if they start giving citations for the BS calls we get, I can imagine how much the stupid calls would decrease in number. Please respect the job that we have because we try to help everyone in need.

This is by far the most disturbing and insulting story for our Police force. I dont care if she is male / female / black / white / hispanic / purple / whatever. She made a FALSE call to 911. She should be AT LEAST cited, if not thrown in jail for 1 day for a ridiculous call. No wonder we are referred to as stupid by the international community.

Pissedoff your comments about all Black female is insulting and ignorant until you have met all of us Black women you can't just lump us all together. Everyone is just taking this situation just a little bit to far. The news just like to sensationalize a story just a little to much. Everyone needs to take a breath and leave it alone.

If nisha912 is the lady from the video then you have made yourself look ignorant all by yourself. WJCL is not at fault. Your lack of correct grammar and usage in your post is appalling. Of course, this is not surprising since listening to you speak demonstrates that you have no grasp of correct English and neither have you shown that correct English is important. Here is my advice - back away from the fries and eat healthy. You are fat and in need of losing some weight. I bet the next time you feel the need to call 911 is when you think it is unfair that you must pay your own doctor bills due to your poor eating habits.

I think this is a joke that this woman called 911, she should have been fined for using this emergency service. This service is supposed to be used for emergencies and cold fries is not one of them, also the officer that gave her the money was not very bright, instead of giving her money, he should have been putting hand cuffs on her and hauling her away. We have fines for false alarms on security systems, why not have fines on false 911 calls. This is crazy that the city is going to let her get away with this!

And btw, if "nisha912" really is gail? You show an even higher level of stupidity with your ALL CAPS typing and your lack of punctuation. Go to school. Perhaps there they will not only educate you on the proper use of the English language, but the social skills to be able to handle this type of situation. Because, as I'm sure you have been told by now ad nauseum, you handled it quite poorly. Puting lives at risk so that you could be properly compensated was childish, foolish, moronic, and above all dangerous. I sincerely hope you some day grasp the level of ineptitude you have displayed to the world in your 15 seconds of fame (shame).

This woman, along with anyone else who did or "would do" the same seriously needs to be kicked in the face very very very hard. This is not "funny," it's an outrage and it's disgusting. Someone may have been getting raped or killed in the vicinity, but at least her "mediation" was handled. The proper way to handle this situation was to take it up with higher powers within the restaurant itself. Any thinking person knows this. This is not only an embarassment even to stupid people, but this woman could have put lives at risk with this level of idiocy.

I am currently reviewing some of these comments and O.M.G I can't believe what I am reading from some of these comments if you all were in her shoes you too would have done the same thing...I cant stand the fact that because she's an african american(not being racist) she's loud, and ignorant,I worked at several restaurants and when white women food is not correct they act so b****y trust me, they do it in a nice nasty way so lets not involve colors please. If you read Gail's comment you will find out she only called because they did not refund her money,I would do the same too!! what if Gail had took matters in her own hand used nasty words then threaten the cashier, and called her racist names, then Gail would have been going to jail, for disorderly conduct and the police would have added more charges on the top of that, I think Gail handle the situation well, and she carried her self well, would you let someone get away with your money? Please stop labeling black women as being all the same there are intelligent black women out there and men by the way who put white men and women to shame! (look up, nowadays sucessful, intelligent black men and women.)Why people feel that we always want free things, answer this question is a white woman that lives inside of a trailer park different from a white woman that lives in a suburb, or is they both the same? (thats how we feel!!!!!!)
