The "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive was a success for the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Coastal Empire. Volunteers at the food bank sorted out carts full of food Saturday. The canned goods and other food items were picked up by local letter carriers. People around the area left bags and boxes full of food by their mail boxes. The food will be used to stock the shelves which were extremely bare. Directors at the food bank say they aren't finished weighing everything and have already collected 55,000 pounds. That's 12,000 pounds more than last year.
