A Savannah mother goes public as she pleads for her daughter who's been missing more than two months, to come home. “I just want her to know regardless of what she’s been through and regardless of what she’s done I just want her to come home”. Nikki Bacon says the last time she heard from her 14 year old daughter was on July 9th when she left in the middle of the night. She is now out with family hanging fliers, hoping someone will know where she is. Ulaysha hasn't contacted her mother in close to two months and now she just wants to know where her daughter is.
“I would rather her go to the youth detention center or to a group home or some type of counseling I just didn't want her to run away” added Bacon. Friends and family say they have spotted her daughter around town in places like Yamacraw Village, Kayton Homes, and even as far as West Chatham.
Most recently Nikki got a call that Ulaysha was seen at 39th and Jefferson, leaving her to believe that her daughter is still alive and in the area. “It hurts me as her mother that she is emotionally and physically going through this type of turmoil," said Bacon.
Now Bacon is hoping someone will guide Ulaysha home or provide information as to where she is. She says Ulaysha wasn't mad when she left, yet she is afraid for her safety. “I got to stay positive. I got to believe and trust in god. I try be strong," adds Bacon. She hopes to teach Ulaysha this strength when she makes her way home. Ulaysha is 4 feet 6 inches tall, and weighs 140 pounds. Police say she might be trying to disguise herself in boy's clothing.
