Food Network Celebrity Chef Robert Irvine of Dinner Impossible lives on Hilton Head and owns a restaurant on William Hilton Parkway called EAT. Monday night he held a fundraiser called "Hearts for Haiti" to help the earthquake victims.  Proceeds from the five course, 50 dollar meal with drinks, goes toward the Haiti relief efforts.

Chef Irvine told WJCL’s Jenifer Andrews that we don't see this side of him, but helping others is a priority. “People see that guy rushing around on television and think he's a maniac.  But the reality is, I care very much about people, and you know Haiti is at the front of that now.  But there's also Kids Cancer, the military, there's veterans, they're the three main focuses of my charities."

And be sure to join Jenifer Andrews and Chef Irvine as they cook a “Recession Proof Valentine Meal.”  It’s an inexpensive meal that you can make at home if you can’t afford to eat out, yet still want to wine and dine your Valentine!  The special report airs Friday, February 12th on WJCL News at 6 & 11, and FOX 28 news at 10.
