Thursday was a washout as expected and many areas saw between 1 and 2 inches of rain.  Overnight, fog will develop and could become thick in some areas, especially near the coast.  After some morning fog Friday morning, clouds should give way to some pockets of sun in the afternoon and temperatures will be pleasant.  An approaching cold front will bring a chance for showers and possibly a thunderstorm Friday evening.  Then we will see breezy, drier and slightly cooler conditions over the weekend.

Looking ahead to St. Patrick's Day, it still looks like there will be some kind of system in the area that will likely be close enough to produce cloud cover and cool temperatures.  Right now, I'm thinking it will be mostly cloudy with temperatures starting in the 40s during the early morning.  If the cloud cover is thick then it is unlikely we would get above the 50s during the afternoon.  If the cloud cover is thin or there is a decent amount of sun then we would see temperatures reaching the mid 60s.
