(Savannah, GA)- Have a fireman costume for "Fido?" How about a little wedding dress for "Fifi?"

Whatever the costume you have for your dog, you can show it off this Sunday at Daffin Park during the Savannah Kennel Club's Doggie Costume Contest.  Registration will begin at noon with judging beginning at 1:30 p.m.  The entry fee for the costume contest is $5.  Proceeds will benefit the rescue group chosen by random selection at the event.  (Listen to the interview playing in the right side of your screen for more on how the charity will be chosen.)  For the costume contest, the dogs do not have to be registered with the SKC or the American Kennel Club. Daffin Park is located on the corner of Waters Avenue and Victory Drive.

The entry fee for the costume contest is $5.  Proceeds will benefit the breed rescue group chosen during a random drawing at the event.  Dogs do not have to be registered with the SKC or the American Kennel Club to enter the costume contest.
Sunday, The Kennel Club will also hold AKC sanctioned breed obedience and rally matches.  It will be a day to showcase a dog's "beauty and brains," joked Lisa Harmon, a board member of the Savannah Kennel Club.

Harmon and her 5-year-old Doberman Pinscher, Gaston, joined Morning Anchor Jessica Kiss onset Friday morning.

Gaston was dressed up for his television appearance.  His shiny black coat nicely offset a white tuxedo collar and black bowtie.

Long ago, the gentle giant passed the "Canine Good Citizenship Test" as well as the testing required of certified therapy dogs.

Sunday, Kennel Club members will evaluate people's dogs between 1 and 3 p.m. so that more canines may try to gain the "good citizenship" status.

Club members will hand out Halloween treat bags to the first 35 owners who register their dogs in the Rally Match.
