America's tall ship sails into Savannah.
This Coast Guard ship is the only square-rigged ship in active government service and was originally commissioned in 1936 as a German sail training ship.
Since the 40s, it’s been used to expose future Coast Guard leaders to their first taste of sea life.
“There’s some original furniture in the captain's cabin and these helms are original,” said Second Class Cadet Katie Priesing.
You can tour the vessel for free from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
