SAVANNAH—Mohamed Allidina, 64, was shot to death on September 30, 2006 while working inside his convenience store on Skidaway Road.  To this day, his murder remains unsolved.

On September 30, 2006 around 1 pm, Metro Police say a masked man entered Amals convenient store, robbed and shot Allidina.

"He was a nice guy.  He treated his customers good.  He treated me well," recalls Mike Stroud who owns a flower shop several doors down from Allinda’s business.

Stroud remembers clearly the day his friend was killed in cold blood.

"I was shocked because it happened to Mohamed because he was such a good neighbor,” stated Stroud.

"It became very apparent that he was very well loved.  They had several vigils.  The walls of his business were lined with notes and flowers,” stated homicide detective Josh Hunt with Metro Police.

According to Hunt, surveillance video inside the store caught Allidina's own murder on camera as well as his likely killer.

"We believe a young black male slim build, 5'6, 5'7, entered the store wearing a mask, brandishing a firearm.

Hunt says once inside, the suspect fired a single bullet that pierced Allidina's midsection.    The masked man then quickly fled the store.

"He entered a green in color mid 90's Oldsmobile described as being metallic green in color," stated Hunt.

The car then sped north or Skidaway Road and hasn't been seen since.

"We know that someone knows whose vehicle that is," stated Hunt.

Both the detective and Allidina's friend, Mike Stroud, hope for definitive clues in the case.

"If we can get more people to come forward, we can put all those pieces and puzzles together,” stated Hunt.

"Clear your conscience because you're going to have to meet your maker one day," stated Stroud.

If you have any information on Allidina's murder, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 912-234-2020.
