OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Fresno State's improbable postseason run will
end by playing for a national championship against Georgia in an
all-Bulldogs College World Series final.

Tommy Mendonca drove in four runs and the Fresno Bulldogs
defeated North Carolina 6-1 to win their bracket in the College
World Series. Clayton Allison came back from a shoulder ailment to
allow one run over six innings. Fourth-seeded Fresno State is the
lowest-seeded team ever to reach the College World Series final.

Fresno State will play Georgia in the best-of-three championship
series starting Monday. Georgia is the first team to bounce back
from a losing season to reach the finals the following year.
Georgia won the College World Series title in 1990. This is Fresno
State's first time in the finals.
