CHICAGO (AP) - The NBA's leading scorer and its Most Valuable
Player head the team chosen to represent the United States at this
summer's Olympics in Beijing.

LeBron James averaged 30 points to win the scoring title and
Kobe Bryant led the Lakers to the NBA Finals while winning the MVP
award.

They'll be joined on the team by Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony
and Jason Kidd.

The rest of the team includes Deron Williams, Michael Redd,
Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Chris Bosh, Carlos Boozer and Tayshaun
Prince.

The team was chosen without a tryout.

The Americans failed to win Olympic gold in Athens four years
ago, for the first time since NBA players started competing in the
Games in 1992. Going 5-and-3 in the tournament in Greece, the USA
settled for the Bronze medal.

James and Anthony were part of that team in Athens.

Duke's Mike Krzyzewski is the head coach of
the Beijing team.
