Place: Layton, NJ Year: 1939 Event: 33 degrees - record low for the state during July.
Place: Berks County, PA Year: 1973 Event: Third flood in 12 days. Southwestern Berks Co. hardest hit with rains well over 4" within 3 hours. Route 222 washed out near Adamstown "worse than Agnes." Flooding along Wyomissing Creek. One actual measurement was over 6".
